1. Data controller

The data controller for your personal information is Typink. For any questions about how we handle your data, contact us at support@typink.app.

2. Data we collect

We collect only what is needed to provide the service:

  • Account data — your name and email address, provided when you register.
  • Content data — boards, notes, and drawings you create and store in the service.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and usage logs, collected automatically when you use the service.
  • Billing data — name, address, VAT ID, and billing email, collected if you purchase a Premium plan. Card details are processed directly by Stripe and are never stored by us.

3. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under Article 6 of the GDPR:

  • Performance of a contract — to create and maintain your account, provide the service, and process payments.
  • Legitimate interests — to ensure security, prevent fraud, improve reliability, and maintain system logs.
  • Legal obligation — to issue invoices and retain accounting records as required by applicable law.

4. How we use your data

  • To operate your account and provide the features of the service.
  • To process payments and issue invoices.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To monitor and improve the stability and security of the service.
  • To comply with legal and tax obligations.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate Typink:

  • Hosting and infrastructure — servers are hosted by SEOhost (seohost.pl), a Polish provider. Data is stored in Poland, within the European Union.
  • Payment processing — Stripe processes payment card data. Stripe operates under its own privacy policy and is GDPR compliant.

All processors are bound by data processing agreements. We do not share your data with advertisers or analytics companies.

6. Data retention

  • Account and content data — retained while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
  • Billing and invoice records — retained for 5 years in accordance with Polish accounting law.
  • Technical logs — retained for up to 90 days.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data where no legal basis requires its retention.
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
  • Data portability — receive a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Complaint — lodge a complaint with the Polish data protection authority (UODO — uodo.gov.pl) or the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@typink.app. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies strictly necessary to operate the service:

  • Session cookies — keep you signed in during a session.
  • Preference cookies — remember your language setting.

We do not use advertising cookies or share cookie data with third parties.

9. Security and breach notification

We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

In the event of a personal data breach likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify UODO within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach. If the breach is likely to result in a high risk to you personally, we will also notify you directly without undue delay.
